Dr. Doreen Granpeesheh has been working in the field of autism treatment and research for 25 years.
Her career in the field of has led to the successful treatment of thousands of children and young adults worldwide.
<br/>Dr. Granpeesheh started her career working with
Dr. Ivar Lovaas at UCLA.
During her 12 year tenure at UCLA, she assisted Dr. Lovaas with his outcome study that was eventually published in 1987 showing a significant recovery rate among the research participants.
Through her research, curriculum development and treatment approach, Dr. Granpeesheh helped demonstrate the effectiveness of intensive, early
Applied Behavior Analysis intervention.
Dr. Granpeesheh earned her Ph.D. in Psychology from UCLA, was licensed by the State of California and Texas, and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
<br/>She started the
Center for Autism & Related Disorders (CARD) in 1990.
CARD has treated thousands of children around the world through its 17 satellite offices in Tarzana, CA; San Diego, CA; San Jose, CA; Garden Grove, CA; San Juan Capistrano, CA; Torrance, CA; Temecula, CA; Sacramento, CA; Bakersfield, CA; Annandale, VA; White Plains, NY; Rochester, NY; Austin, TX - a collaborative clinic with
Thoughtful House; Spartanburg, SC; England; Australia; New Zealand.
CARD will be opening offices in Phoenix, AZ and Melbourne, FL in 2007.
<br/>To further the access to effective autism treatments, Dr. Granpeesheh has trained thousands of professionals and families in her techniques.
She presents her popular talks each year at major conferences including [Autism Society of America], [Defeat Autism Now], [Autism One], and [Association for Behavior Analysi]s.
