The Dornier Do 635 was a World War II heavy fighter proposed by Dornier. The Do 635 waa developed as two Dornier Do 335 fuselages joined by a common center wing scetion.

Design and developments

In 1944, Junkers help the Dorniers Flugzeurgwerke to keep working on the Do 335 Zwilling or Dornier Do 635, Junker Ju 635. The meeting was helded with Junkers and Heinkels engineers. After the meeting, they began work on the project 1075 01-21. And the prototype was shceduled to having a test flight in late 1945 because the designer-professor Heinrich Hertel gave the sketch on February 1945. This design is an 2 Do 335 fuselages joined by 2 wings and it also having 2 Rb 50 cameras in port fuselage to take aerial photos. Weapons was not focused, it only have 5x60kg target marker bombs. The main wheels came from Ju 352 wheels. It also intended with 2 Walter Rocket Assisted Take Off also fitted. A variety od radars were could have neeb fitted. In early 1945, windtunnel model was tested. The cockpits mock up also constructed. But in February 1945, due to the war situation,the project was cancelled.

In the end of 1944, the Do 635 impressed to the Japanese about capabilities and designs.
