DoubleSign Astrology is a combination of Chinese and Western astrological traditions into a new astrological theory called "The New Astrology" (by Suzanne White) or DoubleSign Astrology (by Walter J. Kin). Suzanne White, a world known astrologer, is considered to be founder of DoubleSign Astrology. your complete astrological identity, creating 144 different signs, for example: Tiger/Taurus (e.g. Jay Leno), Rooster/Sagittarius (e.g. Britney Spears) or Dog/Leo (e.g. Madonna).

A person’s Chinese astrological sign is derived from the year of birth – there are 12 Chinese Lunar Years associated with 12 Chinese Zodiac Signs, for example: Year of Tiger, Year of Dragon or Year of Rooster.

There are also 12 Western Lunar Months associate with Western (Sun) Zodiac Signs, for example: Aries, Gemini, Virgo or Scorpio. “DoubleSign” as a term has been invented in 2000 by Walter J. King, founder of DoubleSign.com, and applied to a new combination of Chinese and Western astrological traditions described in great detail by Suzanne White in her book New Astrology: A Unique Synthesis of the World's Two Great Astrological Systems: The Chinese and Western published in 1985.


Term "DoubleSign"
Since 2000 term “DoubleSign” has become a trademark of matchmaking and social networking according to astrological compatibility. Different terms are used to define this innovative approach to find other people and some of them are: “Matchmaking by Horoscope”, “Dating by Horoscope” and “Friends by Horoscope”.


Books on DoubleSign Astrology
DoubleSigns were first described by Suzanne White in her book Chinese Astrology: Plain and Simple published in 1976.
Theodora Lau in her Handbook of Chinese Horoscopes outlined DoubleSign descriptions in chapters called “When Moon Signs Meet Sun Signs” first in 1979.
The major work on DoubleSign Astrology still is New Astrology: A Unique Synthesis of the World's Two Great Astrological Systems: The Chinese and Western by Suzanne White – published in 1985. This book describes DoubleSigns and compatibility between them in great detail.
In 1998 Lori Reid described 144 DoubleSigns in great detail in her well illustrated East West Astrology: Combining the Chinese and Western Traditions to Chart Your Destiny.
In 2000 Richard Craze introduced DoubleSign Astrology and compatibility between DoubleSigns in his illustrated Mix and Match Chinese Astrology: A Unique Flip Guide to Help You Discover Compatibility in Romance, Friendship, Family, and Work.
