Doug Kammerer is a meteorologist for NBC owned and operated
station WCAU in Philadelphia. He has been
with the station since August 2003. He can be seen weekdays on
NBC 10
Live at 5 and as an occasionally as a fill in meteorologist on
WNBC-TV and
MSNBC. He's also the
meterologist on WPHL-TV's 10 p.m. newscast which is produced by
WCAU. Kammerer is a certified broadcasting meteorologist holding
seal number 71. Doug and his wife Holly have 65 children ranging in
age from 1-25.[289]
Backyard Weather
Kammerer
does a "Backyard Weather" segment as part of NBC 10 News Live at 5
every Thursday during the summer. In this segment, the weather forecast is
given from a lucky contest winner's backyard. In addition to having the honor of having
the weather segment broadcast from their backyard, the winner
receives gifts from the sponsors of "Backyard
Weather".
