The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices were launched in 1999 to create global indexes tracking the financial performance of the leading sustainability-driven companies.

The main sustainability indices published by the Dow Jones include the following.

Dow Jones Sustainability World Index or DJSI World. There is also a smaller subset the World 80 index DJSI WORLD 80 As of May 2009 the performance of the DJSI World 80 was -24.99%

Dow Jones STOXX Sustainability Index and Dow Jones EURO STOXX Sustainability Index or DJSI STOXX

Dow Jones Sustainability North America Index and Dow Jones Sustainability United States Index

Dow Jones Sustainability Asia/Pacific Index
