DPS is an experienced process engineering company, undertaking
the conceptual and detailed design, supply and commissioning of integrated
process systems and packages for the upstream oil & gas industry.
History
DPS was established in August 2004 and has grown dramatically from humble beginnings.
Initially specialising in the design of process equipment and employing a dozen engineers, the group now spans five offices (UK, Malaysia, Australia, Nigeria and USA), employing over 200 engineers worldwide and involved in the design and supply of major process systems.
In 2006 DPS Bristol (Holdings) Ltd (DPS) completed a deal that saw Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (part of
Keppel Corporation) of Singapore acquire a minority interest in its main holding company.
The investment is made through Keppel O&M’s wholly owned subsidiary Offshore Technology Development Pte Ltd (OTD).

Innovation & Technology
Innovation, research and development form the cornerstone of everything DPS stands for, and permeate from the top down.
The company has a proud and proven capability of bringing to market a number of exciting, novel and environmentally astute technologies.
In 2006, in order to manitain momentum, DPS added an onsite multi-purpose ‘wet laboratory' - increasing the scope of development activity and providing the opportunity to increase patent work for the group, customers and local stakeholders alike.
Both founders of the business hail from the Bristol area and are extremely proud of the region’s innovative engineering heritage, and are keen to see this continue for future generations.
With this in mind, DPS place significant emphasis on identifying and nurturing innovative and creative individuals to work under the tutelage of the R&D Director.

RedOx reaction, removing
Hydrogen sulfide H2S by the reduction of Fe(III) sulphate to Fe(II) sulphate.
The RedOx reaction is completed by the addition of an oxidising agent.
The products of these reactions are elemental sulphur from the reduction step and water from the oxidation step.
