He defines obesity as:
The excessive accumulation of fat that exceeds the body's skeletal and physical standards.
According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), an increase in 20 percent or more above your ideal body weight is the point at which excess weight becomes a health risk.

Obesity is steadily and inexorably increasing world wide and becoming the greatest health problem in the developed world.

It has been recently estimated that 1.1 billion people are overfed and overweight, Today 127 million Americans are overweight, more than one-third of the adult population, are overweight, and 60 million are obese. An estimated 9 million of those are considered morbidly obese.

All this leads Dr Sami Salem Ahmad to do his best to help people out of their obesity disease. "I can't stand seeing more and more people severely suffering from obesity and its effects", is a phrase he always repeats.

Dr Sami Ahmad says that taking only into consideration the fact that obesity is the second controlled cause of death in the USA, we should not only describe obesity simply as (Bad looking), it actually IS A DISEASE, this must be understood.
