Dragon City is a webcomic made by Micah McNully. It is generally drawn in Paintshop Pro version 7, but it's occasionally hand drawn. The dragons in the comic are anthromorphic and range in colors.

Story

Sam and Rachel are newly weds who were run out of their last town for endangering their city's secrecy to the humans. They moved to the caves under Chicago where they met their wacky neighbors: A brown dragon with an indistinguishable accent, and a mute blue dragon. Eventually they have children, both of which are prodigies. Erin (the oldest child) has been aged so as to add another major character.

Basic Concept

Dragons were the masters of the dinosaurs, but saw the imminent danger and hid in underground caves where they sat for several millennia. One day, they found out the surface was inhabited by hairless apes, so they decided to keep their lives down in the caves a secret.

The Parrity's

Samuel Aaron Parrity

Sam acts stupid, but is actually rather smart. He is the breadwinner of the family, but not necessarily the loincloth wearer (thank God he actually wears loincloths, though.) Due to some criminal activity (eating human hobos) he was forced to move to the caves of Chicago.

First Appearance: "New City"

Rachel Alice Parrity

Rachel has a bad temper (to put it lightly), and originally didn't want Erin, but is rather glad Sam talked her into laying an egg. She is very sensitive about her squinty eyes and tries to tear out anyone's throat who mentions it.

Erin Samus Parrity

Erin is a child prodigy. At three (Kindergarten age for dragons), she's reading Sphere by Michael Crichton and talking down to her teachers. She's inherited the female version of her father's first name for her middle name and his horn formation. She inherited her mother's eyes, bad temper, and skull bone structure. Erin calls her mother by her first name because Sam watched The Simpsons and Family Guy with her while she was still in an egg.

Jonas Alan Parrity

Jonas is the second born Parrity child. Not much is known about him just yet, but he is assumed a prodigy like his older sister and parents. Jonas was named after a character in Steve Alten's book, Meg.

First Appearance: "Birth of the Second Child."

The other characters

Dr. Seamus "Doc Croc" McCrockagan

Doc Croc is both Sam's neighbor and co-worker. He has a thick accent which is quite hard to place because it seems to be constantly switching.

First Appearance: "New Neighbors."

Emily McCrockagan

Emily is mute and carries around a white board in which she conveys all of her thoughts. She is a bit of a gossip and hates her neighbor Rachel because Rachel isn't that type.

Kimberly McCrockagan

Kim inherited her mother's attitude, but her father's intelligence (she's not a prodigy, however) and thick accent. She dislikes Rachel and Erin because of how Emily treats them.

First Appearance: "New Class"

David McCrockagan

He's pretty much a clone of his father, except for his colors.

First Appearance: "Sarah Accumen."
