Dusk (branded as DUSK) is a Canadian English language category 2 digital cable specialty channel owned by Corus Entertainment and CW Media (a division of Canwest and GS Capital Partners) that was launched in September 2001. The channel primarily airs movies along with television series from the thriller, suspense and supernatural genres.

Licensed by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) in November 2000, the channel launched less than a year later on September 7, 2001 as Scream under the ownership of Corus Entertainment and Alliance Atlantis. Programming on Scream focused primarily on horror, thriller and suspense films and television series.

On January 18, 2008, a joint venture between Canwest and GS Capital Partners bought Alliance Atlantis for an estimated $2.3 billion (CAD); included in that deal was Alliance Atlantis' 49% stake in Scream.

It was announced on June 26, 2009, that Scream would be re branded as Dusk on September 9, 2009. The new name and programming strategy was said to feature less emphasis on "gore" and more on suspense, thriller and supernatural programming, in an effort to appeal to a broader demographic, ie. women.[1]
