ESPN 3D is an upcoming television network from the ESPN family of networks.[1][2] According to ESPN, the network will be the first 3D television network.

The network was first announced on January 5, 2010. It will launch on June 11, with its first program being the opening match of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Other programs that are scheduled to be broadcast are the 2011 BCS National Championship Game, various college football and basketball games, up to 25 matches from the 2010 World Cup, and the Summer X Games. Up to 85 live events will be shown on the network in 2010.[1] It is unknown which display format will be used for the network or if it will air on a separate channel space or use the time of an existing network (such as ESPNU HD or ESPNews HD) to broadcast.
