The EUROP grid is a system for grading the quality of beef carcasses based upon yield, commonly used in the United Kingdom and wider European Union.[1]. Gradations on the grid run from E (highest proportion of muscle) to P (lowest proportion of muscle), with three sub-classifications within each letter, marked as plus (+), mid, and minus (-).

A further axis describes the fat content of the carcass, with points running from 1 to 5.

The grid does not, and is not intended to asses subjective qualities of the beef, for instance the flavour of the meat.
