Earle H. Pickard was born on December 24, 1885 in Ellery, Chautauqua, New York to Eugene F. Pickard and Emma Wheeler. Earle married Nellie C. Crandall. Earle served for 35 years in the Chautauqua County Republican Committee, and was an exempt fireman. He was an active member of the Sinclairville Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years. Pickard was also a member of South Stockton Church of God, the Centralia Grange, and Woodmen of the World. For twenty years Earle Pickard worked at the Borden Plant in Sinclairville, New York.

Pickard died on Apri l22, 1957 at WCA Hospital in Jamestown, New York. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. at Sampsell and Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville, with pastor Mary Hale officiating. Bearers were Harry Tilyou, Carlyle Tilyou, Eugene Tilyou, Clarence Green, Howard Cobb and Paul Harvey.
