Eat, Pray, Love is the title of an upcoming film based on the memoir of the same name by American author Elizabeth Gilbert. It began filming in August 2009.[1] Filming locations for the film include New York, Naples (Italy), Pataudi (India), and Bali (Indonesia).[2][3]

After trying and failing to become pregnant, a woman realizes she is not getting what she wants out of life, and, after a painful divorce, sets on a journey across the world.
Hindu leaders voiced concern over the production of the film and advocated for the use of spiritual consultants to ensure that the film conveys an accurate reflection of life in an ashram.[2] In addition, the filming in Bali has become controversial because no Balinese actors or film crew have been included in the production.
