Edward Joseph McManus (born 1920) is a United States federal judge.

McManus was born in Keokuk, Iowa. He received a B.A. from the University of Iowa in 1940. He received a J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1942. He was a U.S. Naval Reserve Lieutenant from 1942 to 1946. He was a City attorney of City of Keokuk, Iowa from 1946 to 1955. He was in private practice in Keokuk, Iowa from 1946 to 1962. He was a Member, Iowa State Senate from 1955 to 1959. He was a State lieutenant governor, Iowa from 1959 to 1961. He was a President, Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Keokuk, Iowa from 1955 to 1962. He was a President, 1001 Corporation, Keokuk, Iowa from 1960 to 1962.

McManus was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Iowa. McManus was nominated by President John F. Kennedy on June 23, 1962, to a seat vacated by Henry N. Graven. He was confirmed by the United States Senate on July 13, 1962, and received his commission on July 16, 1962. He served as chief judge from 1962-1985. He assumed senior status on February 9, 1985.
