Edwin Maysonet (born October 17, 1981, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico) is a Major League Baseball player for the Houston Astros. He is a middle infielder, and attended college at Delta State.

He is married and has a son

Baseball career

He was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 19th round of the 2003 Major League Baseball Draft. Through 2008, his minor league hitting record was .257/.335/.383.

He was called up by the Astros on September 1, 2008.[1] He made his major league debut on September 7.
