Eeram (Tamil: ஈரம்)(English: Dampness) is a 2009 Indian Tamil supernatural thriller film written and directed by newcomer Arivazhagan Venkatachalam. Starring Aadhi of Mirugam fame, Nandha and Sindhu Menon in the lead roles,[1][2][3] the film, produced by director Shankar's S Pictures, was released on 11 September 2009.

The film opens with Vasudevan (Aadhi), a police officer, investigating the murder of Ramya (Sindhu Menon), his ex-lover. Initial reports from the scene of crime suggest that Ramya had committed suicide. Vasudevan, suspecting foul play, moves into the same apartment complex that Ramya lived in, to investigate further. While police investigation is underway in the neighbourhood, people who are associated with the case are killed under seemingly mysterious circumstances. Vasudevan soon discovers a supernatural force in play, A killer and his weapon of H20.
The film shuttles back and forth from the present investigation to Vasudevan and Ramya's past, where they fall in love and eventually break up. Subtle symbols keep appearing to Vasudevan and he begins to receive premonitions of the killings about to take place.(Special part of the film-whenever vasudevan sees red colour and water mix,a murder takes place.Like when a red cloth is hung for drying in a rope near vasudevan's house,ramya's neighbour is found in the freezer,frozen)
A series of twists and turns take the plot forward, until a final confrontation between Vasudevan and the real killer takes place.
Ramya's well mannered and soft spoken husband Bala(Nandha), her sister Dhivya(Saranya Mohan) play pivotal roles in the film.
The film earned more positive reviews at first which paved the way for its successs.The film was commercially announced as a hit by the reports given by behindwoods.com.Aadhi's acting was praised by everyone while Sindhu Menon had a perfect comeback,Saranya Mohan was excellent in her role as usual and Nandha had completely fulfilled his Role.
The music was composed by newcomer S.Thaman and it was a hit.The song "Mazhaye Mazhaye" got the attention of many people.
