Eike Fuhrken Batista (Governador Valadares, November 3, 1957) is a Brazilian entrepreneur. Considered to be a daring businessman, he has founded companies in different business sectors, mainly in mining. He is the son of Eliezer Batista da Silva, a longtime head of Vale.

He lived in Germany from 1969 to 1980, and studied engineering there. Recently, he became the wealthiest person in Brazil, with an estimated fortune of US$27.0 billion, making him the eighth richest person in the world according to Forbes Magazine.[1] He was married to the famous Brazilian actress and carnival queen Luma de Oliveira before divorcing in 2004.[2]
