Acting career

In April 2009, González was cast in a high crime drama television series Mujeres Asesinas as a supporting lead role character. She starred alongside Mexican actress Susana Gonzalez in the episode Tere, Desconfiada. González commented that she received the casting call while she was finalizing the preparations of launching her first solo album Contracorriente and this role has helped her leaving behind her youthful character persona.[3] She stated that she believed it was time to move forward for not only herself, but also her fans.[4]

González was later cast as in a lead role in the upcoming comedy film Esta es mi familia, alongside Manuel "El Loco" Valdés, Sergio Corona, Gabriela Goldsmith, Leticia Calderon, and Lilli Brillanti.[5] González commented that this experience was another opportunity to learn and mature more in the industry at a professional level.[6]

In June 2009, during the premiere of the film Amor, dolor y viceversa at the Festival Internacional de Cine Expresión en Corto, Gonzalez confirmed she was cast as the lead role in the upcoming film Vidas al Máximo directed by David Castellanos.[7] Starring alongside actor Fernando Noriega, location for filming was set for Monclova, Coahuila.[8]
