Ekrem Hayyam Dağ (born December 5, 1980 in Mardin, Turkey) is a Turkish-Austrian football player who currently plays for Turkish club Beşiktaş J.K..

Club career

Dağ started his career for SV Leibnitz and moved to the youth team of Sturm Graz in 1997 and made his professional debut for Sturm in 2001. In summer 2005 he returned to his homeland Turkey and signed for Gaziantepspor. After three seasons here, signed in summer 2008 for Beşiktaş J.K.[1].

Position

He is an allrounder and played as Right Back, Winger, Right Midfielder or in the Left Midfield[2].

International career

Dağ was born in Turkey and is a member of the Austria national football team. He was due to give his debut on 31 May 2009, however this dream was stopped by an injury[3]. Dağ would make his official debut on 10 October 2009 against Lithuania[4] as a listed substitute, but he saw no action.

Personal

He was born in Mardin, Turkey and came to Austria with his family when he was 8 years old, as son of a guest-worker family. Dağ grew up in Leibnitz and holds the passports from Austria and Turkey[5].
