From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Enfield College was officially merged with The College of North East London (CONEL) on 1 August 2009 to form a new college called The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London[1]. This means that North East London now has one of the country’s largest and best further education colleges. The Enfield campus currently provides courses for approximately 6,000 full and part time students.

At present the campus employs about 250 staff so it is a significant employer in the Enfield area. The campus is located on a large greenfield site. In recent years the campus site and facilities have been improved. This has included the refurbishment of the learning centre, and enhanced facilities for student support and guidance. The campus has opened a new building comprising a reception area and 24 classrooms which has won a number of awards.

The campus already has specialist accommodation for specific vocational areas such as: hairdressing and beauty salons, information technology suite, travel agency, media, art and design facilities, science laboratories, dance studio and sports facilities.
