MeSH Epineurium

The epineurium is the outermost layer of connective tissue surrounding a peripheral nerve. It includes the blood vessels supplying the nerve. It is formed when the spinal nerve leaves the vertebral canal via the intervertebral foramen and 2 layers of the spinal meninges invaginate the nerve - arachnoid and dura - forming a "dural sleeve" or epinurium.
