Europinidin (Eu) is a water soluble, bluish red plant dye[1]. It is a rare O-methylated flavonoid, a derivative of delphinidin. It can be found in species of Plumbago and Ceratostigma[2].

It is one of the five rare O-methylated flavonoids, namely azaleatin, 5-O-methylmyricetin, capensinidin, pulchellidin and europinidin.
