Exoculture is a term used to describe the imagined cultural practices of extra-terrestrials. The prefix "exo" denotes a state beyond ourselves. The expression is used by Richard Kahn and Tyson Lewis of the University of North Dakota when writing about conspiracy theorists, such as David Icke, who base their ideas on stories about extra-terrestrial visitors or invaders. Kahn and Lewis call the study of this kind of theorizing "exocultural studies."[1]
