FIVEaa Logo

5AA (identified in print as FIVEaa) is Adelaide's only commercial talkback radio station, owned by DMG Radio Australia. The station has a range of programs dealing with issues including news, sport, current affairs, social issues, gardening, lifestyle and health. While most programs also have interviews, they are all mostly talk-based.

History

5AA commenced broadcasting on March 14, 1976 on the frequency 1390 kHz. It was moved to 1386 kHz with the introduction of 9 kHz spacing on the AM dial in 1978. The station now broadcasts on 1395 kHz.

In late 2006, Adelaide's The Advertiser and NWS Channel 9 worked with FIVEaa to bring Adelaide the news .

Former presenters of FIVEaa include Greg Sanders, Nicole Haack, Gerard Stone, Phil Sheldon, Andrew Reimer and Brian Bennett.
