Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat (Urdu: مخدوم سيد فیصل صالح حیات) is a Pakistani politician from Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan. Faisal Saleh Hayat was born in Lahore in 1952 to a landlord Shia Muslim family of Jhang, Punjab. Faisal Saleh Hayat was elected has been repeatedly elected as Member of National Assembly of Pakistan (MNA) from NA-88. He started his political career by joining Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), He later on joined Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians PPPP-Patriots and then Pakistan Muslim League (Q). He is currently serving as an opposition MNA. Faisal Saleh Hayat is also President of Pakistan Football Federation.

Faisal Saleh Hayat is an agriculturist by profession and the largest agriculture land ownership in Faisalabad-Jhang area is by the Syed family of Makhdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat and her cousin Syeda Abida Hussain. This family is Gadi Nasheen of a Shia Muslim Pir named Shah Jiwana but now cousins are on the opposite side of political divide. And its nearest town is Mandi Shah Jiwana on the Jhang Sargodha road. Faisal Saleh Hayat is a successful businessman as well. [1]

Faisal Saleh Hayat is managing $1 billion New Silk Route Partners (NRS) Hedge Fund in Dubai partlty owned by Ambanis. Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani may soon appoint former Pakistan Muslim League (Q) leader, and one-time former President Pervez Musharraf loyalist Makhdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat as the country's Finance Minister of Pakistan[1].
