The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising or FIDM is a co-educational, specialized private college located in California dedicated to educating students for the Fashion, Entertainment, Interior Design, and Graphic Design industries.[1]
FIDM offers a 2-year associate of arts degree, advanced study programs, and a bachelor of science degree program in business management. FIDM has over 6,500 full-time students and 1000 staff and faculty members.
FIDM has four campuses in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Orange County, California. It is accredited by The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD).

merchandisers may have an office where they meet with employees,
business people, and other fashion professionals. They may have
their own staff. They may make rounds through the store to check
displays and to talk t employees. They attend meetings and social
affairs outside of their company to size up the competition and to
keep up on local events. Fashion merchandisers, promote new
fashions in clothing, accessories, and furnishings in order to
persuade customers to accept and buy them. They also advise buyers
and merchandise managers on style trends assist in advertising and
promotion, and handle fashion shows. Also fashion merchandisers
read journals and trade papers, go to fashion and trade shows in
the United States and in Europe, shop other stores, view art
exhibitions at museums, and study the consumer market. According to
