Faster is an upcoming American action–drama film, directed by George Tillman Jr. and written by brothers Tony Gayton and Joe Gayton. It stars Dwayne Johnson, Billy Bob Thornton, Carla Gugino, Moon Bloodgood, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, and Maggie Grace. It is scheduled for release on November 19, 2010.[1]

Production

Variety reported in May 2009 that Dwayne Johnson was in final negotiations for his role and that Phil Joanou would be directing.[6] That September it was reported that Joanou had dropped out and George Tillman Jr. would direct.[7] Salma Hayek was attached, but a week before filming started she dropped out due to "scheduling issues".[8] She was replaced by Carla Gugino.[9] Principal photography began on February 8, 2010.[8]
