Finola Hughes (born 29 October 1960 in London) is an English actress and author of Irish and Italian origin who is best known for her portrayal of Anna Devane on the soap operas General Hospital, All My Children and General Hospital: Night Shift (season 2), and her portrayal of Anna Devane's identical twin sister, Dr. Alexandra Devane Marick, on All My Children.

In 1981, she originated the role of Victoria in the London production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Cats.
Hughes also appeared on the sitcom Blossom, and as the X-Men character Emma Frost in the 1996 TV movie Generation X. She was also a frequent guest star on the television series Charmed, playing the mother of the Halliwell girls, Patricia "Patty" Halliwell. She provided the voice of Lara Lor-Van, Kal-El's biological mother in Superman: The Animated Series.
In 1983, Hughes starred with John Travolta in the romantic musical film Staying Alive, a sequel to Saturday Night Fever.
Hughes won a Daytime Emmy in 1991, for Outstanding Lead Actress on General Hospital. She was nominated for the same category in 1990 for Anna, in 2000 for AMC as Alex, and, in 2002, as Anna.
It was announced in April 2006 that Hughes would be returning to GH. In May 2006 as part of the May sweeps period, three GH veterans would return. Finola Hughes would be reunited with Tristan Rogers Robert Scorpio and Emma Samms. Following a rise in ratings from her sweeps return, Hughes returned to GH for a limited run through August 2006. Finola would return the following year on July 13, 2007 and once again on April 25, 2008.
In September 2008, Finola Hughes guest-starred in the General Hospital spin-off series General Hospital: Night Shift, now in its second season. Anna was called to town by Robin with news that Robert Scorpio Tristan Rogers was admitted to the hospital with colon cancer. The outlook was grim. The storyline ended in October 2008, with Robert and Anna patching up their rocky relationship with promises of a new future between them. Robert left town for treatment.
Anna returned to General Hospital in October 2008, following the announcement that her daughter Robin was getting married to Patrick Drake. Robin then gave birth to a baby girl named Emma. The wedding was postponed. The couple eventually married in December 2008, with a surprise visit from Robert Scorpio, whose cancer was now in remission. Anna and Robert were last seen making a toast to the bride and groom on December 29, 2008. Current whereabouts are unknown.
Married to Russell Young since 1992, Hughes is the mother of two sons and one daughter.
