María Florencia Bertotti Baleirón (born 15 March 1983, in Buenos Aires, Argentina) is a famous Argentine actress, singer and producer who began her career at age 12.

Biography

She started her professional career in 1995, acting in telenovela Dulce Ana.

Afterwards, she acted in many telenovelas, like 90-60-90 modelos (1996), De corazón (1997), Verano del '98 (where she meets her husband, Guido Kaczka) (1999-2000), Luna salvaje (2000), Culpables (2001), Los pensionados (2004) and also in movies such as Mala época (1998), El faro (1998) and Déjala correr (2001).

For the role in El faro she was nominated for Silver Condor for the Best New Actress, in 1998.

But her big break came when she was chosen for the role of Valeria Marquesi on Pol-ka's production Son amores. The show became a huge success and the most-watched television program in the country and Florencia's character became enormously popular. Due to her role, she won two Martín Fierro Awards for Best Comedy Actress, in 2002 and 2003, and a Clarín Award for the Best Actress in Comedy in 2003. Son amores lasted two seasons and was the most watched TV show in Argentina both in 2002 and in 2003.

In 2004, renowned producer Cris Morena chose Florencia to star in her new children-oriented telenovela Floricienta. The show soon became a smash hit achieving record ratings in its afternoon slot, moving over 400 licensed products and attracting over 600,000 people for its series of live concerts in Buenos Aires (including over 300 performances in Teatro Gran Rex, eight performances in Luna Park and three performances at Estadio Velez) during its two season.

In Floricienta, Flor also showed her potential as a vocalist by singing in the two soundtracks the show spawned. The first album went five times platinum and was the third best-selling album in 2004 and tenth best-selling album in 2005 according to CAPIF. The second soundtrack was the best-selling album in 2005 and was certified four times platinum.

In 2005, the show was picked-up by Disney Channel which started airing in in the entire Latin America. The show soon achieved huge popularity in the entire continent and the cast did a huge world tour with over 1 million tickets sold. The cast also sold 50,000 tickets for the concert in Tel Aviv, Israel.

For her role as Floricienta, she was nominated for two Martín Fierro Awards, in 2004 and 2005, and one Clarín Award in 2004 for the Best Actress in Comedy.

Floricienta came to an end in 2005 after two seasons and Flor spent the first months of 2006 and 2007 touring the world with the cast of the program.

After ending the tour, she decided she would take a break. In December 2, 2006 she married Guido Kaczka, which she has dated since 1999. In July 10, 2008, their first child, Romeo, was born.

In late 2008, it was announced by Argentine media Florencia would return to television is a new telenovela targeted to children which would be executive produced by her and Guido. The project name was soon revealed to be Niní. She signed a lucrative deal with Endemol to produce and distribute the show worldwide[1].

In September 2009, the show debuted in Telefe. Although it has been criticized for being nearly identical to Floricienta, the program has been a commercial success and is the ratings leader in its timeslot.
