The Foundation de France is an independent administrative agency which was established by the French government in an effort to stimulate and foster the growth of private philanthropy and private foundations in France.[1]

History

The Foundation was established in 1969 to encourage the growth of all forms of private philanthropy.[1]

The Foundatione enable individuals or companies to create news philanthropic entities under the aegis of the Fondation de France..[1]

The Foundation has identified specific areas in which to become involved, e.g., the elderly or disabled, the benefit of children, health, medical and scientific research, culture and the environment.[1]

The Fondation de France promotes professionalism in the management of philanthropic enterprises in France and Europe.[1]
