Starting in 2004, Forbes magazine has made a list of the 100 most powerful women in the world. It is edited by editor Mary Ellen Egan, and based on visibility and economic impact. For the last four years, Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany has been ranked as the most powerful woman on Earth.
