The Forzani Group Ltd. ( TSXFGL) is a Calgary, Alberta based national sporting goods retailer in Canada. It operates under five corporate banners: Sport Chek, Coast Mountain Sports, Sport Mart, National Sports and Athletes World. It also franchises under Sports Experts, Intersport, Tech Shop, Atmosphere, RnR, Hockey Experts, Nevada Bob’s Golf, "The Fitness Source", Pegasus, S3 and finally Econosports.

With revenues of over a billion dollars a year (Canadian), Forzani Group Ltd. (FGL) currently accounts for 16.4% of the Canadian sporting goods retailing market, which in 2003 was worth $6.753 billion dollars Canadian. FGL competes on a regional basis with independent retailers and regional chains, and on the national level with Canadian Tire, Hudson's Bay Company, Wal-Mart and Sears. With 551 stores shared between their corporate and franchise banners, Forzani has dominated the market for years and shows no signs of slowing. Its threats include seasonality, foreign competition, debt levels and consistent brand imaging.
