Franks Tract State Recreation Area is a protected area in the U.S. state of California. It is accessible only by water.

"Franks Tract (no apostrophe), often called a submerged lake, is situated between the San Joaquin River and Bethel Island. Originally reclaimed in 1902, it was given over to farming until that fatefull day in the winter of 1937 when the False River levee crumbled and the tract was inundated."[1]
