Fred J. Foster (March 18, 1946–October 4, 1985) was an American professional basketball player.

Foster played as a 6'5" forward at Miami University. He was drafted in the third round of the 1968 NBA Draft by the Cincinnati Royals and was also selected in the 1968 American Basketball Association draft by the Kentucky Colonels.[1]

Foster played in the National Basketball Association from 1968 to 1977 as a member of the Cincinnati Royals, Philadelphia 76ers, Detroit Pistons, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Buffalo Braves. He averaged 7.8 points per game in his career.[2]
