Frederick Avery Johnson (January 2, 1833 – July 17, 1893) was a United States Representative from New York.

Born in Fort Edward, Warren County, N.Y., attended the common schools and was graduated from the Glens Falls Academy; engaged in banking and in the wool business in New York City and later in banking in Glens Falls; president of the village of Glens Falls; elected as a Republican to the Forty-eighth and Forty-ninth Congresses (March 4, 1883 - March 3, 1887); was not a candidate for renomination in 1886; died at Glens Falls, Warren County, N.Y., and is buried in the Bay Street Cemetery.
