Fremont is a town in Clark County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 1,190 at the 2000 census. There is also another Town of Fremont in Waupaca County. The unincorporated community of Chili is located in the community.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 35.2 square miles (91.3 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,190 people, 374 households, and 308 families residing in the town. The population density was 33.8 people per square mile (13.0/km²). There were 393 housing units at an average density of 11.2/sq mi (4.3/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 98.07% White, 0.08% Native American, 0.92% Asian, 0.42% from other races, and 0.50% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.43% of the population.
There were 374 households out of which 46.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 72.7% were married couples living together, 5.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 17.4% were non-families. 13.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.18 and the average family size was 3.52.
In the town the population was spread out with 33.4% under the age of 18, 10.7% from 18 to 24, 28.7% from 25 to 44, 18.7% from 45 to 64, and 8.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 30 years. For every 100 females there were 108.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 101.3 males.
