years ago. I have continued to add to my French since then. I can
get by speaking basic French but my listening comprehension is low.
I often read articles/news in French and only look up those words
that completely baffle me. I've had French friends and I'd write
bilingual emails to them. Although I'm sure the meaning got through
the French was probably atrocious.
