Fresno City is a former settlement in Fresno County, California.[1] It was located at the head of Fresno Slough 2 miles (3.2 km) northwest of Tranquillity,[2] at an elevation of 164 feet (50 m).[1]
The town was started in 1855 but practically abandoned by 1865.[2] A post office operated at Fresno City from 1860 to 1863.[2]
