A gang of small time crooks take advantage of riots in the French inner cities caused by victory of a far-right party in elections to set up a heist. The robbery goes terribly wrong and the group splits up. With the police on their tails, some of the gang take refuge in a speedy hostel owned by a neo-nazi family led by an old member of the SS. What they do not know is that their hosts are desperate for a New World Order and will go to any lengths to turn their Nazi fantasy into reality. The crooks are subsequently subjected to mutilation and torture.
The film received positive reviews from critics. As of May 13, 2008, the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes reported that 65% of critics gave the film positive reviews, based on 20 reviews.[2] Metacritic reported the film had an average score of 44 out of 100, based on 5 reviews.[3]
It was intended to be one of the 8 Films to Die For at Horrorfest 2007, but due to the MPAA giving the film an NC-17 rating, it instead hit a limited number of 10 US theaters unrated for one weekend where it grossed $9,913 before being released on DVD the following week.[4]
