Gabriele ("Gabi") Zange, born Schönbrunn (born June 1, 1961 in Crimmitschau, (now Free State of Saxony) is a former German speed skater. She was in the world elite on the long distances (3000 m and 5000 m). She won three bronze medals in the Olympic Games: At the 1984 Olympics in Sarajevo on the 3000 metres, and at the 1988 Olympics in Calgary both on the 3000 and 5000 metres. She won the European Speed Skating Championships for Women in 1984, at the same time she set two World records (on the 5000 m and overall). She set four World Records in total the last one on the 3000 metres (4.14,76) during a World Cup race in Calgary. She retired as a speed skater after the 1987/88 season
