Gambir is a subdistrict of Central Jakarta, Indonesia.

The subdistrict of Gambir is divided into 6 kelurahan: Gambir, Kebon Kelapa, South Petojo, Duri Pulo, Cideng, and North Petojo.

Istana Merdeka, Istana Negara, Jalan Merdeka (lit 'Freedom Road'), the National Monument and other government centres are located in this area.
