Gauri Shankar (born October 1, 1992) is a young Indian chess prodigy who is a FIDE Master. He has won 27 International junior chess medals at the age of 14 and has also drawn and defeated many International Masters in his chess career so far. Gauri's elder brother, 17-year old Arjun Vishnuvardhan is an International Chess Master and the 2006 National G/60 Chess Champion of the United States. His current Elo rating is 2302.
