Gillespie Corners is a road junction and unincorporated locale in Lane County, Oregon, United States. Gillespie Corners lies at the intersection of Territorial Highway and Lorane Highway, southeast of Eugene.
The area of "Gillespie Corners" is named for Marcellus M. Gillespie [1876-1948] and his brother Walter Benson Gillespie [1878-1971], both of whom owned the land and operated adjacent farms at that intersection. They were the grandsons of 1852 Missouri to Oregon pioneer minister Rev. Jacob E. Gillespie [1809-1898] and the sons of two 1852 Missouri to Oregon settlers Marcellus Melanthon Gillespie [1846-1922] and Damaris Tandy (Benson) Gillespie [1846-1926].
