Glenn Franklin Howerton III (born April 13, 1976) is an American actor of television and film. He is best-known for his role as Dennis Reynolds on FX's It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (on which he is also a writer and executive producer). He also played Corey Howard on the short-lived 2002 sitcom That '80s Show.

Howerton was born in Japan. His father, Glenn Franklin Howerton, Jr., was a fighter pilot. As a result, Howerton grew up in London, South Korea, and Montgomery, Alabama. He graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in Montgomery, Alabama, then went to New World School of the Arts in Miami, Florida for two years before attending Juilliard School in New York City. While gaining his degree, he worked as a drama teacher during his summers at French Woods Summer Camp in Hancock, New York. Married to Latiano who played as a pharmacist Caylee on it's always sunny in Philadelphia during their 5th season
Howerton has guest-starred on ER as Dr. Nick Cooper (six episodes in 2003) and had small roles in the films Serenity (2005), Must Love Dogs (2005), Two Weeks (2006) and The Strangers (2008). Howerton also starred as an emergency room nurse in Crank (2006), and reprised the role again in the sequel Crank: High Voltage. He will be executive producing a new show, Boldly Going Nowhere, with his It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia co-creators. He also has a recurring role on The Cleveland Show as Ernie, Lester's son.
