From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

GloryStar Satellite Systems is a ministry support partner with Christian broadcasters and a vendor of satellite television equipment oriented towards viewers of satellite-delivered Christian broadcast ministries. Glorystar Christian channels are available in North America, the Caribbean and in South East Asia through the Dream DTH service. The North American systems are programmed by GloryStar to receive Christian broadcasters from Ku-band satellites Galaxy 19 (97° W) and AMC-4 (101° W). Satellite AV, LLC, operator of the GloryStar and AdventistSat brand names, developed a single fixed dish solution for simultaneous reception of Galaxy 19 and AMC-4. The company also provides uplink support for broadcasters using the AMC-4 and Galaxy 19 satellites.

All channels are non-encrypted or free-to-air (FTA) allowing viewers to receive programming without paying a monthly fee. Check AMC-4 and Galaxy 19 listings for channel information.

To receive these broadcast ministries requires reception of signals from two medium-powered Ku-band satellites spaced 4° apart. To meet this requirement SatelliteAV designed a multi-LNBF bracket, a miniature LNBF, and a miniature 22KHz multi-switch. This configuration allows for reception of the two satellites on one Ku-band dish. The system is similar to the 3.8° Shaw Direct multi-LNBF bracket but is designed instead for the 4° spacing between the Galaxy 19 and AMC 4 satellites that carry the broadcast ministries of interest to GloryStar's customers.

Glorystar provides automatic channel and firmware updates via satellite to the GEOSATpro DVR1100c and DSR100c model receivers. New Christian channels are automatically added to the receiver's channel list.

Additional channels are also available for free with the Glorystar satellite system if the customer chooses to scan their receiver to add these channels. The above satellite locations include most ethnic channels from GlobeCast World TV, as well as Pilipino channels from ABS-CBN (not related to the religious broadcaster).
