The Gold Coast Rugby League is a Rugby League Competition Based in the City of Gold Coast, Queensland. It is under the administration of the Queensland Rugby League South East Queensland Division, which also administers the Brisbane and Ipswich competitions.

The Gold Coast Rugby League has a very proud history and is highly regarded as one of the most competitive District/Suburban Rugby League Competitions in Australia. It is separated in a Junior & Senior League. Whereby the Ages Groups of U7 to U17 Competitions are considered Junior League Competitions while the U19 to A Grade Competitions are classified as the Senior Leagues in the Gold Coast Rugby League. There are 17 Junior Clubs[1] & 11 Senior Clubs.[2]

Queensland Cup appearances

The Gold Coast Rugby League has previously entered Sides in the Queensland Cup and in the Winfield State League. The team was known as the Vikings. They participated in the Queensland Cup in 1998 only and in the Winfield State League from the first season (1982) to the last season (1995). Gold Coast also made one appearance in the Amco Cup.[3]
