The Government of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic is the political leadership of the unrecognized, but de facto independent, Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, better known in English as Transnistria.


Executive branch

Transnistria is headed by a president, who is supported by a vice president, positions currently occupied by Igor Smirnov and Aleksandr Korolyov, respectively. They are served by a cabinet of ministers, which is headed by the vice president. Transnistria uses a presidential system, so the president is both head of state and head of government.
