Great Russell Street is a street in Bloomsbury, central London, England. It is the location of the main entrance of the British Museum to the north. The Congress Centre [1] of the Trades Union Congress is located at No. 28 [2].

Famous residents

Great Russell Street has had a number of notable residents, especially in the Victorian era, including the following:

• Charles Dickens (1812–1870), novelist, lived at No 14.
• W. H. Davies (1871–1940), poet and writer, lived at No 14 (1916–1922).
• Randolph Caldecott (1846–1886), illustrator, lived at No 46.
