The Greek Wikipedia (also Hellenic Wikipedia, Elliniki Wikipedia, Greek: Ελληνική Βικιπαίδεια) is the Greek language edition of Wikipedia. Started on December 1, 2002, this edition has, as of July 2009, over 43,820 articles[1] and is currently the 44th largest Wikipedia by article count.[2]

As of 8 March 2009, there are 34858 registered users, 17 of which (0.07%) are administrators.[1]

The Greek Wikipedia is the fifth language of the online encyclopedia Wikipedia. Launched on December 1, 2002, it had reached 1,000 Greek articles by 15 December 2003. As of October 2009, it had reached over 45,000 Greek articles.[1]
