Greenfield (formerly, Delkern)[2] is an unincorporated community in Kern County, California.[1] It is located 7 miles (11 km) south of Bakersfield,[2] at an elevation of 351 feet (107 m).[1]

The Delkern post office was opened in 1949.[2] That name derives from Kern Delta, a designation for the surrounding area.[2]
